Rookie ? to the Pro's

Yea everybody wants an egg me included. I supervise my chicks free ranging cause of fear of predators. Past 2 nites I keep hearing a hoot owl outside my window. Anyway, Its about time to let my 10 out around 500 pm . Their out & about I'm constantly watching & counting. Well I only count 9 I'm thinking where's the other chick. I looked around & she is inside the coop sitting on the floor. I'm thinking what is she doing cause they love being out roaming around. I think she is fixin to lay an egg. Well y'all are the pros what is your take.

Have you got a nest box with golf ball or something similar in it? Keep an eye on her.
