room to grow

My little flock spent an afternoon outdoors today. It was their first time and they had so much fun scratching and pecking the ground. We then moved them to their new home with room to grow! Do you close up and lock the door to your coops each evening? We will have an enclosed run but are afraid of something getting through the wire and then to the girls.

To answer your question, I personally do lock up the coop each night, I've debated about leaving it open on warm nights, but I just know that I will sleep better if I don't have to worry and know they are secure.

Welcome to BYC! I personally lock their pop door each night, b/c we have to many predators in our area. It's a personal choice. I definitely sleep better at night knowing they are locked in a secure coop.
