I have the house sectioned off and we have 2 sets of cats. My roommate has lost two of her older cats over the past 3 months. So she is looking to give a permanent home to an older cat. Her cats stay indoors. She seems to like Burmese and Siamese crosses.
I know she has paid a small adoption fee in the past.
The new cat will be living with 2 other cats and a small dog.

I just want to commend her for wanting to give a home to the often forgotten, but always deserving, older kitty. [IMG]

You should check at your local animal shelter. I've gotten cats at the shelter before, and they are (mostly) so grateful acting towards you forever! I can't imagine how scary being in a shelter like that would be. I know cats aren't humans, but they still know it's 'not right'.

Hope your roommate finds one [IMG]

check with local veterinarians, sometimes a client dies, or goes into a nursing home and the poor pets get put to sleep because no one wants the older cat. i took a couple when i worked at a vet clinic. be sure to leave a card with contact information so they can keep handy. [IMG]
