I have 2 roos. One just "announced" himself this morning.
I was so hoping they'd be mute. The other hasn't yet, but with the first one doing so, I'm sure it's only a matter of days.
They're brothers. Most likely their mother was an easter-egger and father was a dominique/barred rock x. They are really beautiful birds.
They were raised by a frizzle. (She went broody and a friend gave me some eggs to please her)
One is friendly (Andromeda) - more or less. He likes to be petted some and doesn't mind hopping on your lap for a chat. The other (AJ) is just there. He'll grudgingly tolerate handling, but would prefer you just feed him. Their b/days are February 10 and 11.
I'd love to trade for a laying hen or 2 - but would really, really just like having a good safe home for them. They can go separately or together.
They live in Jacksonville, on the westside. I can send pictures if you're truly interested.
E-mail me at [email protected] if you think you'd like to adopt one or both.
