I have two week old bantam chicks; they have just been in the brooder with their feeder, waterer, and paper towel floors with some aspen shavings. Do they need a roost or perch at this age? If not this age, how old?

While they don't "need" one, they will appreciate having one. Some will take to roosting for sleep, others will enjoy playing on it during the day and still opt for sleeping in "the pile".
