How mant full size chickens can I fit on two 45 inch roost's? They only weigh about 5-6 pounds.

    Thanks

Probably 4 per 45" roost, unless they're obese. Then they'd take up more room, and would squabble more about the lack of space. Also, (((OBESE))) chickens tend to be crankier:p

You need between 8-12" per chicken, depending partly on breed and partly on how friendly they are; it is not a bad idea to have a bit more room than *that*, in case there is one or more who are not allowed to sit with the others, or choose not to.

On that basis, a 45" roosts would fit 4-5 chickens. Times two, 8-10. Ish.

    Good luck, have fun,

    Pat
