Hi all
I have 7 chickens, 3 are silkies. I rescued 2 silkies that were to be hens. About 5 days later I rescued a silkie rooster. About a month later 2 were crowing. That was 3 months ago and they are about 8 months old. One of the rooster keeps the other rooster in a corner most of the day. I go out to the coop a few times a day so the other one can eat and drink. I’ve decided to rehome the dominant one to a friend where it will be with 3 hens and the other one I’m keeping can have some peace. I’m very upset about it as they are sweet individually. Am I doing the right thing? Will he adjust or miss his friends? Or will he not care as he’s with new chickens?
Thank you
