Rooster crow?

so yesterday I saw my 8 week old black broiler mount one of the white broilers(twice his size). Today I heard him crow. What the hey hey! Has anyone experienced this at 8 weeks? Or do I have a freak of nature in my flock?

I had a teeny little rooster (very very young) that I had inside with a rabbit. In the morning I thought he had been wounded, due to a terrible, raspy honking. I went to the pen and he was crowing, with a full rooster pose! He never crowed again, as he was put outside the next day in the presence of larger roosters four times his size. They got along but he may have been a scaredy-bird.

You have a real stud! if you want to breed your own broilers you have the right rooster for it. With 2 different Hybrid of meat birds if you might be able to cross them and get even an even better meat bird with even more Hybrid Vigor.

This past summer my royal broilers were crowing well before 8 weeks.
I would guess it has to do with how fast they grow and now so much by age. It was a pretty lousy crow but they still did it.
