My daughter (almost 21) has some in her hair and there was another thread about these a few months ago. I think they are pretty cool looking. They are also starting to make them for dogs [IMG]

I am totally not into the weird (to me) hair trends like adult streaking their hair pink or blue or purple, and I don't get this one either, but hey, to each his or her own. Variety is the spice of life!

I have always wondered though- do fly-tie makers use only ornamental breed types' feathers? Or does any decently long, curvy rooster tail feather do well?

In the article it states that Whiting Farms produces feathers for fly-tiers.....supposedly genetically altered to stand up to the water........but I suppose any pretty feather could be used in hair.
