I am still deciding whether my little chicken is a pullet or cock. I have heard that roo's will have pointed neck feathers, but i cant classify if my chicken has rounded, or pointed neck feathers. Can someone post a picture of thier rooster/cockerel's neck feathers please? Thanks![IMG]

    the edge of insanity
Every breed looks different at different ages. It would probably be more helpful to post a picture of your suspicious birds.

if you still have "chicks" you'll notice differences in the comb first:

you'll get lots of great help if you post pics of your chicks!

but here are some rooster pics where you can see the feathering around the neck & saddle (just before tail) feathers

roo hen combo for comparison :

Pleas post a picture of your bird, and how Old is it??
alot of times the pointed feathers when first growing in, will not look "pointed"

If it's only 6 weeks old, and we're just going by comb, I would say boy, for sure.

the chicks in the first pic I posted are a lil over 5 weeks old. Your headshots make your bird look fully feathered - so I guessed it was older. I was certainly guessing on very lil info lol....

I think its a roo because he acts like one, has a very large comb, waddles, and tail feathers. also, his body structure looks like a male's, and he is growing little spurs!
