This is my first time on this sight but like to read Q&A, This time I need some help. I had 8 chicks last April, 1 Welsummer Rooster 3 golden lace wyndottes, and 3 golden sexlings (which were suppose to be welsummer hens) anyways I lost a golden sexling, she just dropped dead, They all have been raised together never seperated. 2 of my sexlings went broody here last month Dec 2011, I tried to change their minds but weren't having any part of it, so for 21 days they sat on empty nests. They decided enough of this and now my rooster will not except them, he chases them around won't let them eat, the other hens are becoming this way also.
Why is this happening??

Any information will be helpful.

Thanks, Lisa

Thanks RobertH that was a thought of mine. I did lock him out of the chicken coop one day and he went nuts digging and scratching at the door like a dog, he was growling oh he was a MAD rooster to say the least.

I don't have another barn or pin to put him in, otherwise I would do that.

But more idea's are welcome, or if someone knows why he is doing this would be helpful also.

Thanks, Lisa
