Ok I have a.Rhode Island Red 6 month old rooster. He has been healthy and starting to crow, and "trying to mate" the ladies.
They are housed in a 19x9x12 coop/run.
He is housed with:
2 RIR pullets, 2 sexlinks, (raised with this rooster)
3 golden laced polish(6months),
1 buff polish, 1 white sultin polish, 1 silver laced polish roo & a golden laced cochin (all 4, 10 weeks)
and 4 (6month) guineas.
Yesterday I noticed he wasnt roosting with everyone. He seemed lethargic and his comb was not perky and bright red as usual.
Today I seperated him from everyone. That is when I noticed bright green poop it is solid not diareah.
He has labored breathing with a gurgling
He has shook his head with a cough sound
His eyes are clear no bubbles, no foam
His nose and beak are clean No drainage
He stretches his head up and down to breath.
Here is a link to youtube of him breathing sorry its dark so I had to use a flashlight.
We have no fowl/poultry vet around so I need to know what to give him!!! Please!!
