My two chicks are now 8 weeks old. I have a Buff Cochin and a Sicilian Buttercup, the cochin is 100% a female because of her very mellow attitude and her wattle and comb are still small and yellow. The Buttercup on the other hand, we thought was a female because she has a yellow neck feathers with a black body with spots. A sign that it was a female, except that she has a large wattle and comb both bright red and yesterday we heard a crowing-like sound it wasn't a cock-a-doodle-doo but more like a blaaa-kaaaa like a choking screaming sound. We also have two one year old cochins too if that has anything to do with it. If you have any info about what might be going on, it would be greatly accepted.
P.S. The buttercup's name is Fiona and the cochin's is Loraine.
