My rooster got hit by a car and I had to mercy kill him…is it safe to eat him?

I am so sorry to hear that he was hit by a car and had to be put down. I am not sure on eating him, I would worry about internal organs that ruptured and then leaked....but I am not sure.

Was his carcass torn up? There will be trauma wherever he was hit, that portion of the meat will be bloody and inedible, and I wouldn't eat anything if the bile duct ruptured.

I noticed some yellowish liquid coming from his beak, so that’s probably what happened

How Old was he? Easiest is dip in boiling water and skin him, let set in the fridge at least 3 days.
