I would love to see some pictures of rooster houses or setups for roosters or a "bachelor pen" as I have heard them called on here. Anyway, thanks so much.

Take a drive thru back road Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and you will get an eye full

I'm in Louisiana, lol... Ideal sent me 14 roosters with my order for warmth. It's working well, they free range a lot. The pen is about 5 x 10, it was a home-made kennel or something, it was on the property when I moved, covered in vines & weeds. so I recycled it and added wire to the top & bottom and for predator protection. I also put a roof to keep them out the sun.

I don't have a pen or a coop but I plan on using one of my 12x12 extra stalls in the barn for the roos untill I decide which one I will keep. My Big BO roo got taken by a bob cat a wk ago. I have 2 batches of his chicks one 11 wks old and another 5 wks old. The only thing I plan to add is a auto waterer and a few roosts.

I completely forgot I made this thread, so I'm reviving it with some new questions that can hopefully recieve input.

I've seen some people keep roosters in like 50 gal drum barrels and attach the roo to it via a rope, or something. There is someone on here (BYC) that breeds, Aseels I think, and noticed they had their roos tied. What do you use to attach your roo to his house? Where do you find it?
