Rooster making an egg announcement?

Sometimes when my rooster gets scared or feels dangered, he'll make this exact noise:

Why? Isn't that for hens to make announcements?

Ahhhh! The Egg Song is nearly the same as the Danger! Warning Call. The second is just announced more loudly and a bit faster in cadence.

HOWEVER, roosters DO often sing the Egg Song with their hens! Or for their hens.

When you've got 3 or more in the yard all singing the Egg Song slightly off point from each other, it's quite a cachophony!
