My rooster has been doing what they do best and my hens backs are getting sore and the feathers have feel out where the back and tail meet. How can I keep this from happening?

You need to purchase some hen saddles. Pampered Poultry sells very pretty ones for a great price. You can also add more hens to your flock to spread out mating more, although this won't help any of your boy's "favorite" hens too much.
