This is Morticia our black laced Wyandotte. She? Is a little over two months old. She? Was born the very end of may this summer. A few chicken raising friends have mentioned she? Looks like a he?

    What do you think? [IMG][/IMG]

She looks like a hen to me :) Her waddle is small and her legs seem to be lacking spurs :)

She's a pullet for sure, with that little comb development. I have had six SLW's. They have small combs anyway, but young pullets have almost none, as does your girl. Congrats!

Just FYI, all chicks have very small spur buds at this age, just barely visible. A roo does not get "manly" spurs until much later, when he becomes sexually mature at 6-8 months (or later, depending on the breed). I just wanted to be clear that the absence of big spurs on a two month old chick doesn't mean it is a pullet. Nobody really looks at spurs to determine gender at this age.
