why is this hen definitely a roo!!??
IF this chicken is a rooster, then I just bought 8 baby roosters for $30. This is the one chicken that I would have guessed is a hen. This is the one Ive been watching. The rest have crests that go in all different directions.[IMG]

it looks like its crest has pointy feathers on it a hen would have round tips
do you have a clearer pic of the crest . For some reason the face looks hen-ish to me

I don't think it's a roo. My silver polish roo's crest was very different than that.

    I'm going with pullet!

here is the back of the head. This is the best i could do.

The back is very full and round, which is why i thought maybe a hen.
