I just purchased this Blue Hen of Delaware thinking it was a laying hen, but after doing research online, it looks like it might be a rooster. Any thoughts?

It looks like a hen to me. How old is it?

The white spot under the eye and the high comb made me wonder.

It's a pullet. Males have patchier coloring with dark feathers on their necks, shoulders, back, and tail feathers. Plus the back feathers on this bird are broad and rounded, indicating female.

Thank you so much everyone. I was worried! I wondered about the lack of dark feathers on the back.

The white spot is the ear lobe which is there regardless of gender. If this was a male it would be crowing by now.
