Rooster or Hen

16 weeks old my daughter hatched under a broody hen. It’s a mutt, a mix of a little of everything (bantam, Rhode Island Red, Cochin). Any suggestions are helpful.

I am having a hard time finding saddle feathers, shouldn't they be more obvious at 16 weeks???

I had to look closely at this one, but agree with other posters. I think it is a cockerel because I can just see the beginnings of pointed male sex specific feathers on the back and saddle. He's a bit of a late bloomer.

Usually they are at that age. But I just see some male feathers between the shoulders and on the saddle, just barely peeping through.

Idk, the whole outline looks female to me.
My guess is early maturing pullet

It does look like a pullet except it has a large darker red comb, I say rooster but your right it could be an early blooming pullet.
