Hi - new to this forum and hoping for some advice about whether these two gold laced Wyandotte’s are cockerels. My research suggests they probably are but this is the first time we’ve raised chickens from chicks so just looking for some advice.

thanks

joe

Both look like cockerels to me I have 8 in my main that grew op together so it's not a bad thing

Hi, and welcome!
I think you have one pullet and one cockrel.
A rooster has hackle feathering (draping neck feathers) and saddle feathers (off his back forward from the tail)
I see those thin shiny feathers on the darker chicken in your photo.
The other chicken has wider rounded feathering.
Enjoy your chickens!

Hmm! I suppose that other one could be a pullet. I really thot that it was two cockrels.
