Hello!
My sister and I brought home 11 baby chicks three weeks ago and we were wondering if anyone could maybe take a guess at gender for us? they are all bantam cochins (3 curly cuties included) and are 5weeks and 3days old ♡

Repost at eight weeks. I can’t see anything saying cockerel, but definitely repost at 8 weeks no matter what anyone tells you gender-wise.
But here are my guesses:
Group 1:
1: Could be either. Leaning pullet (now cockerel).
2: Pullet
3: Pullet
4: Cockerel
5: Cockerel
6: Cockerel
[•~———————————————~•]
Group 2:
1: Cockerel
2: Could be either. Leaning pullet.
3: Pullet
4: Pullet
5: Pullet

Group one my guess would be 1,4,5,and 6 are roosters, and group two I think only number 1 is a rooster. They are still really young to know for sure yet though.

For group one, I say the first three are pullets *for now* and the last three are cockerels *for now*. For group 2, I say the first one might be a cockerel *for now* and the rest are most likely pullets, but not sure about the last one. But they really are too young and any of my guesses could be wrong so you should post again in a few weeks! 😉 😊

These were my exact guesses except I thing group 2 #2 is leaning cockerel. 😊 Just for fun as lots can happen!

I'ts my first time on a forum, so I'm sorry if I'm doing this wrong, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone who took a guess!
I really like it in here, everyone is so nice and helpful!

I read a few different posts saying its really easy to tell after 5-6weeks with this breed, but now I know better, so thank you :)
Looks like my sister might be super lucky, and uhm well.. me not so much..
we took the same guesses as you guys, but now I still have hope!

I am very new to chicken keeping (my first and oldest group (not cochins) are "teenagers" now and have been outside in the coop for a while now..I'ts very exciting but its also going to kill me when I have to let go of the roosters..
I get too attached to these feathery little lovelies! Sorry I'm rambling on, I got excited! will stop now and hooopefully see you all again in a few weeks! :)
