I'm sorry what are wattles?Comb looks small so it may be a female; however if it's young it may be a young cockerel. My female beardless silkies only get wattles as large as you bird's when they are close to starting to lay (about 6-7 months old). The little cockerels, however, will have wattles that size by about 3 months old.
