Hello there! My rooster is two years old and has always been a pretty good boy. He had fowl pox when he was a baby but we treated him for most of his chick hood with antibiotics and fully recovered! The vet is actually amazed with how healthy he is. He just had a vet check up about a month ago and all was great. However, he’s been sleeping a lot lately. They are free range in our yard and we catch him sitting down in his favorite places just sleeping. He definitely has only child syndrome, as he was separate from the flock for many months when he was young and sleeps in his own house now…. So he hangs out with himself alot in general but now he’s sleeping alot and not crowing as much. He appears healthy. Eating and drinking. And his throat looks healthy. Comb is bright red. We’re not sure what the deal is, but any suggestions are appreciated. I will add however that it is warming up here in Florida, so not sure if the heat may be doing it. One of our hens is broody at the moment. I have no idea if that has anything to do with anything but that’s what’s going on in the flock.

Thank you! ♥️
