I have a rooster who's spur is curled back and grown into his leg. I removed the spur but I believe he may have an infection. He barley leaves the coop and has grow very quiet. His leg seems to be swollen and he limps a bit. It's been one week since I removed the spur and he doesn't seem much better.Any suggestions?
  2. Stand him in a warm Bath of Salt water.......Clean his legs and put on an antibiotic med.......Possible give a powder based antibiotic to in the water?

I would take him to a vet. It is not as expensive as people make it out to be. Here is a good list of different vets which are known for treating poultry ( however I know there are many more that would be willing to.
