Yesterday I noticed my older boss rooster was actually running away from the younger rooster. "Ollie" has been boss for 4 years! Today, I noticed Ollie's spurs are gone! They were really long, but he never showed aggression to humans. Is it common for Rooster's spurs to fall off? Or, maybe they broke off fighting with the younger rooster and that's why the younger rooster is now the boss?
Thanks,

With chickens somewhere.......
It's normal for the spurs to fall of when they get long enough that they get in the roosters way
