Hi all I have put my 8 week old chicks in will my bantams and I am finding the rooster trying to have his way with them. How old do they have to be to be introduced to other roosters and chickens?. Should I remove them?.the chicks are Highlines so they are the same size as bantams. Need advice. Thanks Tina

2 months is not old enough to put with an adult rooster in my opinion. The females are too young to breed, and if he is trying to he may injur them. Their bodies aren't grown enough to sustain the roosters weight.

Also.... what kind of bird is a "Highline?" I've never heard of that breed before. Can you post pics?

Thanks everyone for getting back to me so quickly, i have taken them out and put them in there own pen.
I am in australia and the highline chicken is a commercial egg laying breed, I don't know how long the breed has been going for but they have a large egg
