Rooster was re-homed - how long will my eggs be fertile?

    A week for best fertility, but it's possible to have fertile eggs for up to 3 weeks.

    I heard that they could be fertile up to three weeks. I just needed reassurance.


    We are going to try to hatch some of his eggs. Wish us luck!

    If you really want, and I'd totally do it, try and collect/hatch for 4 weeks and see how long it spans out. Roosters do vary. I've had some chicks hatch from a rooster who hasn't been with the particular hen for over 4 weeks before.
