Hi! My name is Julia and I own 21 birds, I noticed a while ago that my rooster, Valentine (I don't know his breed.. hes a mix of things), has a red skin surrounding his vent, nearly as red as his comb and wattles. Is this normal?
I've searched this up a few times and people have told me its vent gleet, but I don't think it is.
I can supply a photo if need be

(Taking those photos was uncomfortable for both of us xD)

A photo would probably be helpful in diagnosing. It may be easier to see if there is swelling, irritation, etc. or if there is anything that points to an issue or a non-issue. Oh, the awkward world of chicken keepers, posting chicken bottom pictures...
