Rooster with shrill raspy crow

I have a 7 month old golden sebright rooster who suddenly developed a very squeaky hoarse crow three days ago. I immediately separated him from the flock and have been keeping a close eye on him for respiratory issues.

His eyes are clear, no discharge from nose or beak(inside of beak and throat look to be clear), I've listened to his lungs with a stethoscope every day and his breathing seems normal still for right now. The only symptoms he has as of right now is an awful sounding crow and occasional sneezing.

I have amoxicillin on hand right now I could start with, but I'm prepared to go on a hunt for Tylon 50 if that would be better. Is it too early to start antibiotics to treat this, or should I be heading out right away? He's my favorite rooster and he has such a nice personality. I hate seeing him not feeling well.
