rooster won't crow?

This is Dutch my one year old barred rock roo, I've had him a little more than a month as well as the rest of my flock, BUT this guy has yet to crow! He does make a robotic/mechanical kind of screech of some sort though. What could be the problem? I do have another roo and he's definitely the dominant one!

Just give it some time. He is too big not to crow because of another rooster.

Sometimes mine don't crow when there is another rooster around, so that may be why

He crowed finally! The oddest looking thing I've seen but I'm proud of him! Way to go Dutch lol

I was beginning to think you had a gold mine. What some people would pay for a handsome rooster that didn't crow. LOL.

His crow most definitely doesn't suit him little bitty and a little screetchy, I probably wouldn't crow if I sounded like he does either lol

That may change, but if it doesn't there are people that look for that type of crower all the time. His offspring would sell like hotcakes!
