This is my Bantam sized Rooster. He was dumped at the end of our road and I collected him. He has now fathered a couple of chicks and I'm wondering quite what he is?
    His name is Gus

I'm not certain about this one. Maybe a Cochin mixed with something.

    Hey fernylees12

I agree with a possible Cochin or Pekin [bantam Cochin] mix but I am not good at ‘name that breed’. As redsoxs has suggested, your best bet would be to post on the Breed or Gender Forum.

    He is very handsome!

Hello and :welcome! I hope you enjoy BYC just as much as the rest of us do! I agree, Gus looks to be a Cochin mix. He probably has some Mottled Cochin influence with those spots on his chest, but definitely not purebred. :)

Looks to be a cochin mix, or at very least a mix of widely different colored cochin parents. Cochins come in many, many colors & combinations.
