Our pullets are about 15 weeks. I've been keeping an eye on this particular one and the more I look at "her", "she" seems to look like a "he". We got them all at the same time and we bought them for laying eggs, not for making lots of noise at the butt crack of dawn. [IMG]

Cock-a-doodle-do at butt-o'-clock indeed. I'm new at this, but it looks like a roo to me. A pretty roo though!

"She" is handsome isn't she?! And she's very slender. We really don't want a rooster so I'm not sure what we'll do with him. Rooster soup?
I'll post more pics soon so you can see him with his ladies.

A very nice bird, really. You could see if anyone might want him (assuming)... list in the for sale section?

I've read about voice-box surgery and such... risky. But if you kept him, you'll have more free chickens!

Here's my DD holding another one - I just wanted to show you their difference in size.

If she is a rooster, when would he start "cock-a-doodle-doin'?"

    I think that's for sure a rooster.

I've heard anywhere from 6 weeks (at least an attempt) to several months.

We'd like more of a, "Cock-a-doodle-don't-wake me up so early"!

I'm getting a little sad because I know that we probably won't keep him, but I've gotten a little attached to him and he's so handsome!
What other signs should I look for if "she's" a "he"?
