    We've got a rooster!

Initially I thought sure there was a city ordinance against roosters in town but I called and there isn't. I'm kind of excited about the idea of keeping him. What do I need to know about keeping a rooster?

Just let him be a rooster. He has a job to do, that's to provide for and protect the hens. Resist the urge to make a pet of him. He won't be a good one. Keep his spurs trimmed.
