Me (holding baby) and my sister were talking about our cat not minding the chickens, and then she said, "Do you think your rooster you are getting will attack her?" My response - throw baby and my sister and jump on here. Will a rooster attack my cat?!?! She doesn't bother the chickens at all.

    Sunny side up :)
Some roosters will attack cats. I have had my small key west roosters chase down and viciously attack cats that have tried to get chicks. I have a few other roos who just hate cats and even a few hens that will run up and peck a cat who is just minding his own business. We get a lot of stray cats out here and the chickens think they are the boss lol. Birds in general are very territorial so it does make sense.
