roosters comb has black fungus?

Can anyone tell me what this may be on his comb and is it normal or maybe contagious if its a fungus or something?

To me, that looks like scratches and dried blood. He probably got pecked by another bird or scratched it on something. If it's just an injury, it should heal within a week or so.

Its not dried blood it won't come off but it could be a bruise maybe. Thanks
