I made some feeders using a bulk container and 3" pvc.im sure most of you know what I'm talking about.my chickens do excellent buy my roosters comb is very large and I'm not sure he can stick his head in to eat I've watched him pick at feed the hens drag out but I've never seen him stick his head in to eat.do y'all think if he gets hungry enough he will stick his head in and eat?or do I need to build a differerent feeder?

Greetings from Kansas, skinnyman, and welcome to BYC! I also think your rooster will accommodate to the 3" hole. Good luck to you!!

    Out to pasture
He may really be afraid to stick his head in there because it irritates his comb .
