Roosters Mounting hens and egg laying

This is probably a weird question but If I see my roo mount my hen and if she lays an egg the same day does that mean that egg might be fertile or would it be the egg the next day that would be fertile.

if he mounts her in the morning, chances are that days egg is already "built" and the shell around it,, so no "little hims" can get in.
in fact, they think that your best fertility rate comes when the roo mates after that days egg was laid.
