Roosters or hens? Buff Orpingtons

    Sorry for the bad photo. I don't often place them up like that so they didn't stand very tall. I caught the one in the back crowing for the first time so I'm confident that's a rooster but he one in the front doesn't have as much developed on the face, hasn't crowed, and doesn't stand tall normally. Is it simply because "he" is the bottom rooster or is it a hen? I can't have roosters in my town so I have to sort this out and rehome :( kills me.

    Both male. [​IMG] Sorry, that must be tough. Do you have any females?

    well I wound up with 4 out of 5 being roosters :'( I traded one for an older cream legbar so I now have two hens, three newly discovered roosters. Pretty big bummer overall because I hand raised them and love them dearly. I just can't have them here.

    Yeah, I get you. I can (and do) have roosters where I live, but that doesn't mean I can keep all the ones I like. [​IMG]

    I hope you can find good homes for them easily!
