Both appear to be showing cockerel characteristics - but age is key in assessing certain things. Clear side shots of each bird in a natural standing position (so it shows the whole bird) would help.

The "ISA Brown" is more likely a production red - ISA browns one of the many names under which red sex links are sold and this bird is not a red sex link (male or female). The dark bird is also not a pure Austrolorp as this bird is showing signs of being crested (having head dress feathers) and does not have the single comb that an Austrolorp would have. Were these birds hatchery sourced?

  8. Most roosters have a bigger tail and comb,
have any of them been crowing early in the morning?
