How old does a dominecer rooster have to be to successfully breed hens for raising chicks.
Mine are 5 months old now
 
Probably around now. I'd suggest searching for checking egg fertility in yolks when u crack them. Check threads here on BYC to see how to recognise evidence of egg fertility.

Thank you all. That helps. I am not relying on them to breed my hens right now. I have them separated but a friend of mine had his rooster die so I am giving him one of them and I now have confidence he will do the job
