    hello. i need help finding a rooster. i know how to raise them but i do not know what kinds to get and where to get it without buying a ton of other chickens. thank you

    Why do you need a rooster? That would be a good starting place for people to help you. Do you want to breed for egg production? Meat production? Both?

    You could check the Buy, Sell, Trade section of the forum. Check Craigslist or your local feed store for posters. Do you have a local shopper paper? How about your local 4-H clubs? Any poultry clubs in your area?

    People have extra roosters all the time. It would help if you listed what area you are in, as people don't tend to ship roosters to others.

    Breed and sell... Purebreds? Mutts? Are you sure you have a market for chicks? What is your plan in case they don't all sell?
