Roosts ***Pics***

Here's the roosts. We placed them about 15" off the wall and 15" apart. They are 29" high and will have a droppings board underneath. They are 6' long. We have another shorter roost for additional space diagonally in one corner. We'll have 16 hens (2 will be bantys).

Those roosts look sooo comfy! Could you explain or, better yet, show me the droppings board or droppings pit. I'm undertaking the same task this weekend and I want to make cleaning easy. Thanks!

The droppings board is not built yet. It'll be some type of flat board installed about 5"-6" below the roost. Not sure how DH is going to do it. Then, each day, I'll just scrape the shavings and poo into a bucket. The hens will have access to the whole coop floor this way.
