Santa messed up on this order. I know at least one is a boy [IMG] Just so happens "OREO", the young roo, was my son's pick. I'd like to get your opinion about the remaing EE's.

This is OREO. We can use him as a comparison. He is the same age as the rest. He was picked from the same batch. I don't understand why he is so VERY DIFFERENT in COLORING.

Now, for the rest. First meet Black Face:

Next up, EXPRESSO. This chick is very vocal. She is constantly complaining about something.

Last is a very friendly one that we have not named yet [IMG]

I'm saying all three pullets for now...and the roo is so different because they are EEs, and being mutts they can literally look like ANYTHING...cuties though!! [IMG]

do you have a better pic of oreo's comb??
what makes you think it's a he?? just curious... i have some EE/leghorns that i was going to post a ? about, and at 3 weeks their combs were much larger and redder than that...
i would guess the others to be girls too...

    Expresso could be a boy.

    Jury is still out.

    Black face is a pullet.

Here are 2 pics of OREO taken a week ago. I posted them in this breeds and gender with a question about his coloring and EVERY RESPONSE said she was a he. His comb is starting to turn red and none of the others are. Plus, he is much bigger and taller than everybody else. His feathers are growing in different in the hackle area too.

I hope everybody was wrong in my previous posting, but right now - - - it is looking like they were correct.

And the verdict is - - - the only roo was Oreo. All the others were girls.

Here is expresso all grown up.

Here is an older black face. When she feathered in - - she lost her black face - - too funny [IMG]
