Rubbing their head on the ground

    Whenever I put an exciting treat in the run, the chicks will drop their heads down to the ground and rub their beaks left and right on the ground. Anyone know what this is called and what it means?

    It means that they can't use napkins...
    That's how they clean their beaks...

    I have one that eats Greek yogurt then jumps on my back and wipes her beak across my shoulders and in my hair.
