I have a few blue runner girls. Recently, lost my blue male when he got himself tangled in reeds at the edge of the pond and drowned. :-( I may get a young silver male. I didn't even know there was such a color for runners.
Wondering about the genetics of blue and silver and what I might get if I hatch a few eggs next year.
    Thanks!

I know nothing about color genetics, but @Pyxis might be able to help you.

Silver is just two copies of blue :) So your blue girls bred to a silver drake would result in 50% blue offspring and 50% silver offspring.

You're welcome! And just to be sure, are you in the US? If not, silver might be a different color, since some countries use silver to mean what we call snowy in the US.

Then they probably do mean silver as in two copies of blue :) Slight chance that they mean it as harlequin aka snowy instead, so if you could get pictures you could make sure.
