I have heard that before adele campbell made the khaki campbell duck she experimented with runner x mallard and runner x rouen. I was wondering if i did this will i get a duck similar to a campbell ( obviously i wont get a campbell) but just a good dual purpose duck?

A good dual purpose duck maybe?? But duck breeds, along with other animal breeds of today, are selectively bred, to get such standard breeds of today. It takes many generation of selective breeding, to pick the best/desire trait from each breeding, then breed the selected birds to each other and back/cross breeding to it's brother/sister or parents. To get something to that of your desire bird. Sorry, my explanation doesn't really make sense, but I hope you some what understand what I was trying to say. But you can't find out something, if you don't try it out for your self, so I say try cross breeding your birds and you might end up getting a better duck than you expected.
