I borrowed my friends LG because of a recently discovered mold problem in my Dickey Hatcher.

I am warming it up to put my goose eggs in for hatching so they don't get aspergilosis. (sp?)

Anyway, it has a fan in it, but I cannot hear or see it running. Should I be able to?

    Thanks,

you can't see with the lid close , but you should see it with open. if it's not spinning get pliers and squeeze down on the wire connectors

Maybe that's why my friend had such bad hatches. She ran the temp like the fan was running........

Lift it up and look to see if the blades are turning. I can hear mine as well, but that may be because its an aftermarket, home rigged fan from the back of a computer. Its now in the new HovaBator and I can hear it in that one as well. It should put out a good amount of air.

Yes you can hear it and see it moving... I still use an old one as a hatcher sometimes when I am doing staggerd hatches close together.

I can hear my LG fan easily, it isn't "noisy" but definately audible.

I had to squeeze the connectors. It works now! Thanks everyone.

Just in time too, I have a sebbie that is trying to pip. I just have to get the thing stabilized and the humidity up.
