I have a few questions about my little RIR...
    ,
Here's a picture when we got her on June 12th. I was told she was a couple of weeks old? (all the pics are thumbnails so click to see bigger)

So here she is now - 8 weeks later. Why is she feathering out so slowly? The others don't seem to be picking on her and it is UNBEARABLY hot here - could that be a factor? She's plucky, acts healthy, eats and drinks, gets plenty of treats, and free ranges at least 3 hours a day. She's getting much bigger and feels plump. Any thoughts?

Also, do you think she's a she or a he? If she's a he - wouldn't her comb be much bigger and redder?
Is she a RIR or something else like a Production Red or NHR?

I know, a lot of questions and a lot of pictures but thank you so much for you thoughts!

That's definitely a rooster, which is why it's feathering out so slow.
